First one I’ve seen on the Upper West Side - 74th and Amsterdam. That’s my building in the background.

Is the scaffolding coming down anytime soon?

It’s been there since roughly 2013.

I thought it was going on 2 years ... you come by this knowledge how?

And I sort of like it as protection from the weather. On the other hand, I’m tired of finding a way to the sidewalk when a taxi drops me off.

Every now and then I’ll get bored and mooch up and down some streets around the world.

If you look at Google street view it shows it went up before August 2013 and if it came down, it came down briefly to go right back up again.

They should just make a proper feature of it and call it a day.

Wow ... had forgotten. Moved into this building in October 2001, out in August 2003, back in January 2007 and we’ve lived here up until now. Suppose I just got used to the scaffolding. Expanded recentlydue to the interior demolition of the building next door on 74th - former substance-abuse treatment center.

Also if something comes up on screen about an area in a film or programme I look it up out of curiosity.

The first one I ever saw was pulled over by the CHP. The second was broken down at the side of the road, or a flat, don’t know.
